How it works
Post your request
Describe the task, the time and the price you want to pay. You reserve the amount when you post; if it isn't used, it returns instantly to your wallet, fees included.
Pick a verified helper
Helpers nearby apply. Check their reviews and verified ID, then choose one: the mission is paid instantly from the amount you reserved when posting, and held in escrow.
Confirm and release payment
When the job is done, confirm it and the payment is credited to the helper's wallet. Released automatically 2 hours after the helper marks it done if you don't respond.
Between work, commutes and everything else, cleaning is the first chore to slip in a busy Cleveland household. Helpers on Help-Me cover kitchens, bathrooms, floors, windows and the post-party rescue, in homes across Shaker Heights, Westlake, Ohio City and Tremont.
A typical cleaning job in Cleveland, OH is paid $50–$220 USD depending on the size of the home and how thorough you want it. The amount is held in escrow until you confirm the place is clean, and the helper keeps every dollar of the price you set.
Frequently asked questions
Do helpers bring cleaning products?
Say what you prefer in your request. Many helpers in Cleveland can bring basic products for a small extra; others use what you have at home. Vacuum and mop are usually yours.
Can I book the same helper every week?
Yes. After a first mission, you can post a new request and pick the same helper again. Many Cleveland requesters build a regular routine this way.
How do helpers get paid?
No bank account is needed to sign up or apply. When a payment is released, the full price is credited to the helper's Help-Me wallet. The helper transfers it to their bank account whenever they want: the transfer is sent immediately, bank details are collected by Stripe only at the first transfer, and a standard payout usually takes 1–2 business days depending on the bank (instant payout available for a Stripe fee on eligible accounts).
How does payment work for cleaning help in Cleveland?
You reserve the amount when you post: price × number of helpers + the service fee, taken from your Help-Me wallet (top it up by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link). When you pick a helper, the mission is paid instantly from that reservation and held in escrow, not paid to the helper. Once the helper marks the job done and you confirm it, the money is released to the helper's Help-Me wallet; without a response or a reported problem, it is released automatically 2 hours after the helper marks the job done.
What happens to the reserved amount if it isn't used?
It returns instantly to your wallet, fees included: if you cancel the listing, if a spot is never filled before the date, or if a mission is cancelled under the cancellation rules. You can reuse it for another request or ask for a refund to your card (5–10 days depending on your bank).
What does Help-Me charge?
A service fee of 8% of the price plus $0.99 per helper (CAD in Canada, USD in the US), paid by you on top of the price you set. The exact total is shown before you pay. The helper keeps 100% of the price. For example, a $100 job costs you $108.99 and the helper receives $100. If the spot is never used, the full $108.99 comes back to your wallet.
Are helpers in Cleveland verified?
Yes. Every helper must verify their email, phone and government ID (through Stripe Identity) before they can apply to a request. After each mission, requesters leave a rating that is shown on the helper's profile.
